Creating Custom Artwork
Creating custom work in collaboration with collectors is one of the most meaningful parts of my practice. Every commission is a shared creative process—blending your vision with my artistic voice to create a truly one-of-a-kind piece for your home or collection.
To begin, simply share your ideas, including size, color palette, and any inspiration you’d like to incorporate. From there, I’ll provide a proposal along with a non- refundable 50% deposit to cover materials and reserve your place. Once underway, I bring the piece to life in my studio while keeping you updated throughout the process as needed. I have found it’s best to only share a pic of the process close to completion and can allow for any edits, (if needed) at that point. Final images are shared upon completion prior to delivery.
Commissions generally require 6 weeks- 3 months, depending on the scale of the work and current scheduling. Let’s get started!

Yes, I'm taking commissions at the moment.

Yes. commissions typically start at 1.5K, unless a smaller size is needed. Paper, wood board or stretched canvas vs. unstretched canvas play a role in pricing. Im happy to work with my client on a payment schedule,if needed. Once the 50% non-refundable deposit is met, I will start working on the piece. Full payment is required before shipping to its new forever home.

Sure, that always helps with the vision! While I'll consider other images that aren't on my website or social media, they will only be references of a concept or palette you like or are trying to convey. I will always paint in my style- which is why you're reaching out to me and not them :)
-
Yes! Not only do I have experience in design, I was a custom framer for almost 10 years and have a keen eye and knowledge for the scale of art and placement in your space.
-
On the onset, we discuss scale, colors were working with, if you have fabric samples or paint colors within the space, colors you do NOT like, or any meaningful quotes, dates,or references you'd like in the piece making it even more personal for you. Ex: one of my collectors granddaughters’ name was Poppy, ( I know…how adorable!) so in a painterly style i added a poppy motif within the artwork with her birthdate and name inscribed peeking through. Poppy loved finding her sweet spots in the painting!

I do not provide progress photos as my work has so many layers and changes made throughout the process it would not give an honest view of what the finished piece will look like. I will give a reference photo close to the end and make some small edits, if needed. If a process photo is a must, i will provide one but the client must understand there are still many layers and edits before completion.

If the location is near, I'm happy to bring it to the client and may charge a small trip charge depending how far away they are. For small to medium size pieces (48” and under) I can FedEx the art. If the piece is larger or oversize, and not within close location, I recommend using a courier service and crate the work to keep it safe from any damage. There is an additional fee for the service and I can get an estimate beforehand. I have a trustworthy courier service and they do an efficient and professional job transferring paintings across the country.
If it makes more sense to paint on unstretched canvas, I'm happy to ship the work to you or to your local framer to stretch (and frame) for you.
